Meet ZachZach Cummings was elected to the Leesburg Town Council in November 2020. During his first term on town council, Zach initiated and passed $500,000 in additional small business grants for Leesburg’s businesses that helped strengthen and preserve many businesses in Leesburg. Additionally, he has fought to streamline interactions with local government for Leesburg’s residents and businesses, as well Zach has worked to hold the line on property taxes in the town of Leesburg.
As a councilman, Zach has served as liaison to the Board of Architectural Review, the Thomas Balch Library Commission, and the Leesburg Airport Commission. He represents Leesburg on the Virginia Municipal League General Laws Committee. In addition to serving the Leesburg community, Zach works as a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Realty. He enjoys working throughout Leesburg, Loudoun County, and beyond to build communities and help people find a place to call home. In addition to his real estate work, Zach has been active working on local projects like the Stanley Caulkins Memorial in Leesburg, the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts, and is President of his son’s elementary school PTA. Community service has always been with Zach. As a 23 year old, he ran and won a seat on his hometown city council in Dover,Ohio. Throughout the almost four years on council, Zach chaired the Human Resource Committee and worked through many issues facing his hometown. Currently, Zach lives in southwest Leesburg with his wife, Jeanette, son, Jackson, and their Australian Shepherd, Taylor Sniffs. |
